وأتى رجلان من بني بليعال وجلسا تجاهه وشهد رجلا بليعال على نابوت امام الشعب قائلين قد جدف نابوت على الله وعلى الملك. فاخرجوه خارج المدينة ورجموه بحجارة فمات.
