" 'Böyleyken İsrail halkı çölde bana başkaldırdı. Uygulayan kişiye yaşam veren kurallarımı izlemediler, ilkelerimi reddettiler. Şabat günlerimi de hiçe saydılar. Bu yüzden çölde öfkemi üzerlerine yağdırıp onları yok edeceğimi söyledim.

فتمرد عليّ بيت اسرائيل في البرية. لم يسلكوا في فرائضي ورفضوا احكامي التي ان عملها انسان يحيا بها ونجسوا سبوتي كثيرا. فقلت اني اسكب رجزي عليهم في البرية لافنائهم.

İngilizce:

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

Mais ceux de la maison d'Israël se révoltèrent contre moi dans le désert; ils ne marchèrent point selon mes statuts et rejetèrent mes lois, que l'homme doit accomplir afin de vivre par elles, et ils profanèrent indignement mes sabbats. C'est pourquoi je songeai à répandre sur eux ma fureur au désert, pour les anéantir.
