Seni de, bağrındaki çocukları da yere çalacaklar. Sende taş üstünde taş bırakmayacaklar. Çünkü Tanrının senin yardımına geldiği zamanı farketmedin."

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

İsa her gün tapınakta öğretiyordu. Başkâhinler, din bilginleri ve halkın ileri gelenleri ise O'nu yok etmek istiyor, ama bunu nasıl yapacaklarını bilemiyorlardı. Çünkü bütün halk O'nu can kulağıyla dinliyordu.

And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
