Thamud denied the messengers |
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ |
3 073 |
|
142 |
When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? |
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ |
3 074 |
|
143 |
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. |
إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ |
3 075 |
|
144 |
So fear Allah and obey me. |
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ |
3 076 |
|
145 |
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. |
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |

146 |
Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death], |
أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِينَ |
3 078 |
|
147 |
Within gardens and springs |
فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ |
3 079 |
|
148 |
And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit? |
وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ |
3 080 |
|
149 |
And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill. |
وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَارِهِينَ |
3 081 |
|
150 |
So fear Allah and obey me. |
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ |
3 082 |
|
151 |
And do not obey the order of the transgressors, |
وَلَا تُطِيعُوا أَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ |
3 083 |
|
152 |
Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend." |
الَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ |
3 084 |
|
153 |
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. |
قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ |
3 085 |
|
154 |
You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful." |
مَا أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ |
3 086 |
|
155 |
He said, "This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day. |
قَالَ هَٰذِهِ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ |

|
156 |
And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day." |
وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ |
3 088 |
|
157 |
But they hamstrung her and so became regretful. |
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ |
3 089 |
|
158 |
And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. |
فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ |

159 |
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. |
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ |
3 091 |
|
160 |
The people of Lot denied the messengers |
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ |
3 092 |
|
161 |
When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? |
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ |
3 093 |
|
162 |
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. |
إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ |
3 094 |
|
163 |
So fear Allah and obey me. |
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ |
3 095 |
|
164 |
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. |
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |

165 |
Do you approach males among the worlds |
أَتَأْتُونَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ |
3 097 |
|
166 |
And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." |
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَاجِكُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ |
3 098 |
|
167 |
They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." |
قَالُوا لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَا لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجِينَ |
3 099 |
|
168 |
He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. |
قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ الْقَالِينَ |
3 100 |
|
169 |
My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." |
رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ |
3 101 |
|
170 |
So We saved him and his family, all, |
فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ |
3 102 |
|
171 |
Except an old woman among those who remained behind. |
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ |
3 103 |
|
172 |
Then We destroyed the others. |
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ |
3 104 |
