لاني خجلت من ان اطلب من الملك جيشا وفرسانا لينجدونا على العدو في الطريق لاننا كلمنا الملك قائلين ان يد الهنا على كل طالبيه للخير. وصولته وغضبه على كل من يتركه.

For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.

Denn ich schämte mich, vom Könige Geleit und Reiter zu fordern, uns wider die Feinde zu helfen auf dem Wege. Denn wir hatten dem Könige gesagt: Die Hand unsers Gottes ist zum besten über alle, die ihn suchen, und seine Stärke und Zorn über alle, die ihn verlassen.

так как мне стыдно было просить у царя войска и всадников для охранения нашего от врага на пути, ибо мы, говоря с царем, сказали: рука Бога нашего для всех прибегающих к Нему есть благодеющая, а на всехоставляющих Его – могущество Его и гнев Его!

for I was ashamed to ask from the king a force and horsemen to help us because of the enemy in the way, for we spake to the king, saying, 'The hand of our God is upon all seeking Him for good, and His strength and His wrath is upon all forsaking Him.'
