وقالوا بعضهم لبعض حقّا اننا مذنبون الى اخينا الذي رأينا ضيقة نفسه لما استرحمنا ولم نسمع. لذلك جاءت علينا هذه الضيقة.

Birbirlerine, "Besbelli kardeşimize yaptığımızın cezasını çekiyoruz" dediler, "Bize yalvardığında nasıl sıkıntı çektiğini gördük, ama dinlemedik. Bu sıkıntı onun için başımıza geldi."

And they said one to another, We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.
