Vadinin öbür tarafında ve Şeria Irmağının karşı yakasında oturan İsrailliler, İsrail ordusunun kaçtığını, Saulla oğullarının öldüğünü anlayınca, kentlerini terk edip kaçmaya başladılar. Filistliler gelip bu kentlere yerleştiler.
