Tanrı adamının uşağı erkenden kalktı. Dışarıya çıkınca kentin askerler, atlılar ve savaş arabalarınca kuşatıldığını gördü. Dönüp Elişaya, "Eyvah, efendim, ne yapacağız?" diye sordu.

فبكر خادم رجل الله وقام وخرج واذا جيش محيط بالمدينة وخيل ومركبات. فقال غلامه له آه يا سيدي كيف نعمل.

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
