Bir gün, peygamber topluluğundan bir adamın karısı gidip Elişaya şöyle yakardı: "Efendim, kocam öldü! Bildiğin gibi RABbe tapınırdı. Şimdi bir alacaklısı geldi, iki oğlumu benden alıp köle olarak götürmek istiyor."

وصرخت الى اليشع امرأة من نساء بني الانبياء قائلة ان عبدك زوجي قد مات وانت تعلم ان عبدك كان يخاف الرب. فأتى المرابي ليأخذ ولديّ له عبدين.

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

Or la veuve d'un des fils des prophètes cria à Élisée, en disant: Ton serviteur mon mari est mort; et tu sais que ton serviteur craignait l'Éternel; et son créancier est venu pour prendre mes deux enfants pour esclaves.

And a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets hath cried unto Elisha, saying, 'Thy servant, my husband, is dead, and thou hast known that thy servant was fearing Jehovah, and the lender hath come to take my two children to him for servants.'
