والآن بما اننا نأكل ملح دار الملك ولا يليق بنا ان نرى ضرر الملك لذلك ارسلنا فاعلمنا الملك

İngilizce: 

Now because we have maintenance from the king's palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king's dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king;

Or, comme nous mangeons le sel du palais, et qu'il n'est pas convenable que nous soyons témoins de ce dommage fait au roi, nous envoyons cette lettre au roi et lui faisons savoir ceci:
