Yoşiya Yahuda kentlerinden bütün kâhinleri getirtti. Gevadan Beer-Şevaya kadar kâhinlerin buhur yaktıkları tapınma yerlerini kirletti. Adını kent yöneticisinden alan Yeşu Kapısının girişinde, kentin ana kapısının solunda kalan kapılardaki tapınma yerlerini de yıktı.
