Kral Yoşiya Baal, Aşera ve gök cisimleri için yapılmış olan bütün eşyaları RABbin Tapınağından çıkarmak üzere Başkâhin Hilkiyaya, kâhin yardımcılarına ve kapı nöbetçilerine buyruk verdi. Bunları Yeruşalimin dışına çıkarıp Kidron Vadisinde yaktı, küllerini Beytele götürdü.

And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.

Alors le roi commanda à Hilkija, le grand sacrificateur, et aux sacrificateurs de second rang, et à ceux qui gardaient le seuil, de tirer hors du temple de l'Éternel tous les objets qui avaient été faits pour Baal, et pour Ashéra, et pour toute l'armée des cieux; et il les brûla hors de Jérusalem, aux campagnes du Cédron, et en emporta les cendres à Béthel.

Und der König gebot dem Hohenpriester Hilkia und den Priestern der andern Ordnung und den Hütern an der Schwelle, daß sie sollten aus dem Tempel des HERRN tun alles Gezeug, das dem Baal und dem Hain und allem Heer des Himmels gemacht war. Und verbrannten sie außen vor Jerusalem im Tal Kidron; und ihr Staub ward getragen gen Bethel.

وامر الملك حلقيا الكاهن العظيم وكهنة الفرقة الثانية وحراس الباب ان يخرجوا من هيكل الرب جميع الآنية المصنوعة للبعل وللسارية ولكل اجناد السماء واحرقها خارج اورشليم في حقول قدرون وحمل رمادها الى بيت ايل.
