فاخذ فدان بقر وقطّعه وارسل الى كل تخوم اسرائيل بيد الرسل قائلا من لا يخرج وراء شاول ووراء صموئيل فهكذا يفعل ببقره. فوقع رعب الرب على الشعب فخرجوا كرجل واحد.
Türkçe:
Bir çift öküz alıp parçaladı. Ulaklar aracılığıyla İsrailin her bölgesine bu parçaları gönderip şöyle dedi: "Saul ile Samuelin ardınca gelmeyen herkesin öküzlerine de aynı şey yapılacaktır." Halk RAB korkusuyla sarsıldı ve tek beden halinde yola çıktı.

And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.

Et il prit une couple de bœufs, et les coupa en morceaux, qu'il envoya dans tout le territoire d'Israël, par les messagers, en disant: On traitera de même les bœufs de ceux qui ne sortiront point à la suite de Saül et de Samuel. Et la frayeur de l'Éternel saisit le peuple, et ils sortirent comme un seul homme.

Und nahm ein Paar Ochsen und zerstückte sie und sandte in alle Grenzen Israels durch die Boten und ließ sagen: Wer nicht auszeucht, Saul und Samuel nach, des Rindern soll man also tun. Da fiel die Furcht des HERRN auf das Volk, daß sie auszogen, gleich als ein einiger Mann.

и взял он пару волов, и рассек их на части, и послал во все пределы Израильские чрез тех послов, объявляя, что так будет поступлено с волами того, кто не пойдет вслед Саула и Самуила. И напал страх Господень на народ, и выступили все , как один человек.
