Yeruşalim halkı Yehoramın en küçük oğlu Ahazyayı babasının yerine kral yaptı. Çünkü Araplarla ordugaha gelen akıncılar büyük kardeşlerinin hepsini öldürmüştü. Dolayısıyla Yehoram oğlu Ahazya Yahuda Kralı oldu.
