Musa bunları İsrail halkına bildirdikten sonra, halk RAB'be lanet eden adamı ordugahın dışına çıkardı ve taşlayarak öldürdü. Böylece İsrail halkı RAB'bin Musa'ya verdiği buyruğu yerine getirmiş oldu.
